Thoughts on Education

As an educator I want students to delight in the discovery of all aspects of the world.
Whether they are learning about history, world civilizations, the arts, wide-ranging cultural beliefs,

or the challenges facing the world today, there are unlimited topics to explore and better understand.
In order to be a world citizen in the 21st century, I think we must strive to understand

differing perspectives with empathy, careful consideration, and a knowledge of history.
As a teacher I have tried to provide opportunities for creativity, critical thinking, and discovery.
My goal is that all students become avid, lifelong learners possessing

the needed skills to be successful in a rapidly-changing world.
