Evaluating Websites

​When you research a topic on the internet, you should evaluate the website to be sure it is accurate and objective.   
The domain of academic sites usually end in .edu, .net, .org, or .gov, but commercial sites end in .com

The first sites listed in a search (shown
​at the top of the list) are 
the most commonly visited, but this doesn't mean they are necessarily good for getting accurate information.They are simply "popular."


Does the website list the author? Is there an address? Is it fair and objective?
